Stuffed Animal Sleepover We are inviting you to bring your stuffies to camp out with us at the library. Drop off your stuffed friend for an overnight adventure Thursday, July 6th by 6pm and pick them up Friday, July 7th. A keepsake photo will be provided along with a fun slide show of your stuffed animal’s favorite overnight camping adventures! g CHILDREN & TEEN PROGRAMS g Summer Story Time Let’s learn all about the great outdoors during summer story hour! Find characters from the book in windows of local businesses then return the challenge card for a chance to win a prize. First 20 families to participate will receive a FREE copy. Tech Tweens and Teens Using the Cricut and Heat Press, create a fun tote bag with outdoor designs! It’s perfect for all your summer adventures at the library and beyond! Ideal for Tweens and Teens 10+. Registration begins June 5th for individual or small group appointments. · Wednesday, June 21st @ 11am - 6pm S’more Stories Join us and our special guests from the STC Senior Center for a special story time featuring Make More S’mores by Cathy Ballou Mealey. Families welcome, space will be limited. · Friday, June 30th @ 10:30am Camp Create Kindergarten through 4th grade students join us to blend colors with tissue paper and water to create a beautiful sun catcher inspired art piece! · Friday, June 23rd @ 1:30pm Tech Kids Come explore with us at Newlin Nature Trail located within Memorial Park. Go on a scavenger hunt utilizing nature ID Apps with your device or ours! Ideal for Kindergarten - 4th grade students. · Friday, July 14th @ 1:30pm Gravity Lab Students 3rd - 8th graders join us for virtual reality, video games and puzzles in this augmented science experience. Realm of Reptiles Discover the world of reptiles on Tuesday, July 11th @ 1:00pm in this hands on dynamic program! Come ready to explore the world around us through the eyes of snakes, lizards, bearded dragons and more. What’s Up Thursday, June 8th @ 1pm Kindergarten through 2nd grade will join us to discover what we can see in the sky (stars, planets, the Moon) and differences between those objects. Planets Thursday, June 8th @ 2:30pm 3rd graders through 6th graders can explore differences between stars and planets, recognize a planet in the night sky and planetary motion. WELCOME CAMPERS! Join us for a fun-filled summer of reading and learning! Stop into the library starting Monday, June 5th to register and be entered into our weekly book bundle giveaways. Use the reading log provided to track your reading and receive tickets for prize baskets. Find our camping mascot and more. Charity Basket Once again this year, read and earn tickets for charity! Reading tickets will support the Cumberland Trail Fire District and their goal to get first aid kits into local homes! Our goal is 1000 books read to earn a Touch a Truck celebration that will feature vehicles from Cumberland Trail, STC Police, and JB Green Team, along with refreshments and prizes! A lucky winner will win a ride to school on the fire engine this fall! New this year—JB Green joins us to provide a recycling bin. Create your very own flower press to take home. · Thursday, June 15th @ 6pm Session Two: Utilizing pressed flowers to create a small lantern for summer décor. · Tuesday, July 25th @ 6pm StoryWalk In collaboration with the city of St. Clairsville, our permanent StoryWalk is bringing an outdoor family reading experience along the National Road Bikeway. · June - 25th Anniversary of the National Road Bikeway memorabilia.
