Legends and Lore Presentation
Thursday, October 17th @ 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Join the Belmont County Spirit Seekers along with the St. Clairsville Public Library and the Belmont County Heritage Museum for legends, lore and spooky tales presentation about locations in St. Clairsville, Belmont County and many notable residents and tragic events of the past. At the conclusion of the presentation, take a small tour of the library’s behind the scenes history, walk to the museum to explore the Haunted Hills of Belmont County display and enjoy refreshments along with a Q&A and exploration of paranormal investigative tools.
Lantern Tour
Saturday, October 19th @ 6pm
In collaboration with the Belmont County Spirit Seekers and the Belmont County Heritage Museum take a historical walk along main street through St. Clairsville’s past: learning about the sheriff’s residence & jail, death of sheriff Sam Dunfee and the Warrick murder, Thomas Carr burial, Frog Hollow, National Road Tavern and many more.
Registration opens for both events on Tuesday, October 1st – call the library to register. Not suitable for children under 10 years of age.
*Please note the lantern walking tour on the 19th will be held rain or shine and is limited to 20 participants.
