108 W. Main Street St. Clairsville, OH 43950  Director’s Corner  The library welcomes Library Director, Jomana Papillo who is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Business Psychology (ABD) with a concentration in Behavioral Economics. She received her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and went on to pursue her Master’s degree in Business Administration. She has been a freelance writer for nearly a decade in the fields of science, business, and personal development. Jo’s life’s passion has always been teaching, especially at the college level, and even in her non-academic careers she has found herself in teaching roles in one capacity or another. She spent eight years as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Business at Wheeling University, teaching in the areas of Organizational Behavior, Behavioral Economics, Organizational Leadership, Consumer Behavior, Strategic Business Planning, and Marketing. She is an animal lover, avid gardener, and of course, a bona fide book enthusiast. Here are some fun facts about Jo! What is my favorite book? Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen. I even named my son after the novel’s hero. What is one quirky or unusual fact about me? I have a collection of prescription eyeglasses in a variety of shapes and colors so I can accessorize my outfits. (I mean, c’mon. It’s fun). I also have a collection of literaturethemed scarves and gloves. What is my dream travel destination? I’ve always wanted to visit Newgrange, Ireland during the winter solstice when the underground passages light up. And also Scotland, any time of year. Which season do I enjoy the most? Hallowthanksmas. That’s a season, right? What is my go-to comfort food? Mashed potatoes. Or any kind of potatoes, really. What’s my most cherished hobby? Reading, hands down. We look forward to having Jo lead the next chapter here at the library and invite you to stop by and say hello.
