Library Walking Challenge

OSUextensions

The St. Clairsville Public Library is participating in the Library Walking Challenge hosted by the Ohio State University Extension Office. The libraries of St. Clairsville, Martins Ferry, and Bellaire will be competing against each other as their respective patrons get out and get healthy-one step at a time!

Frequently Asked Questions (PDF).

How to set up your pedometer: Click here!

Our local patrons and community are strongly encouraged to report their steps by each reporting date so that St. Clairsville will win! See your step log for reporting dates.

Participants can register in-person, by phone, or by e-mail. There is now a registration fee of $15.

Information for registration: name, age, e-mail address, phone number, address and an active library card number.

Registration in-person or over the phone will be handled at the front desk.  You may also register online by e-mailing the required information to info@stclibrary.org.

Those that register through e-mail may not be added to the registration list until the next business day. A pedometer will not be reserved until a participant is officially added to this list. Please allow time for delivery, because pedometers now need to be ordered.

Registrants must be 16 or older. Those under 18 must have a permission slip signed by their legal guardian. This form is available at the front desk.

Participants may also benefit from, “Wellness Coaching Sessions.” These sessions will provide informative lessons about maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle.

More information on the Library Walking Challenge can be found at the front desk of the library.

Let’s get out there and get walking!
